The nose is fruity and offers gourmandize, structure as well as a small concentration and a certain controlled richness. It reveals notes of crushed blackberry, crushed raspberry, small notes of cassis jam associated with small touches small black fruits, cocoa, black tea as well as a discreet hint of eucalyptus and spices (cloves). The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers an acidulous frame, a beautiful juiciness, freshness, a finely tight frame as well as straightness, fullness and a good structure. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed cassis, bright Boysen berry, small notes of pulpy/juicy violet plum associated with fine touches of fresh raspberry, bright cherry as well as discreet hints of liquorice, camphor, cocoa, a subtle hint of rose and eucalyptus. A very discreet hint of caramelization on the finish. Tannins are structuring, precise and straight.
