Cantina Valpantena – Tesauro 2015 – Recioto Della Valpolicella

The nose is fruity, gourmand and offers a certain harmony as well as elegance. It reveals notes of candied cassis, black cherry, small notes of candied black plum associated with small touches of crushed wild strawberry as well as fine hints of liquorice, camphor, laurel berries, discreet hints of tobacco and hazelnut. The palate is fruity and offers an acidulous frame, juiciness, minerality as well as a small freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of candied black cherry, crushed blackberry, small notes of bright cassis associated with touches of pulpy/acidulous black plum, small black berries as well as hints of liquorice stick, laurel berries, camphor, a discreet hint of black pepper, toasted almond, grilled hazelnut and an imperceptible hint of sense of the place (local biotope). Tannins are very finely marked. Good length.
