Domaine Guy & Yvan Dufouleur – Clos des Perrières 2018 – Nuits-Saint-Georges, Premier Cru

The nose is elegant, fruity and offers a beautiful fruit, a small fleshiness and elegance. It reveals notes of fleshy/juicy violet plum, pulpy cherry, small notes of blackberry associated with small touches of cornflower, lilac, nutmeg as well as very discreet hints of spices and an imperceptible hint of pepper (in the background). The palate is fruity, very finely tight and offers juiciness, generosity, suavity, an acidulous frame as well as gourmandize, freshness, tension, an aromatic purity, deepness and a beautiful fleshy/acidulous fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of acidulous/fleshy cherry, pulpy/acidulous raspberry, small notes of juicy blackberry associated with small touches of violet, cornflower as well as fine hints of lily, liquorice stick and toasted. A discreet hint of tonka bean on the finish/persistence. A beautiful wine with a beautiful quality of the fruit.
