The nose offers intensity, a small power, a fine freshness, a beautiful maturity of the fruit as well as a fine and very finely tight grain. It reveals notes of crushed Boysen berry, crushed strawberry, small notes of pulpy cassis associated with fine touches of lily, tulip as well as fine hints of zan, spices and a very discreet hint of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers an fine acidulous frame, juiciness, tension, a good finesse of the grain, an almost aerial side as well as a racy minerality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, juicy/finely acidulous wild raspberry, small notes of lily, violet associated with touches of juicy/acidulous plum, juicy/acidulous strawberry as well as hints of toasted, tonka bean, cardamom and a very discreet hint of fresh tobacco. Tannins are very finely firm. Good length.
