Fratelli Serio & Battista Borgogno 2016 – Barbera d’Alba Superiore

The nose is fruity and offers a fine intensity, power and elegance. It reveals notes of blackberry, black cherry, violet associated with fine touches of small red frutits, a hint of wild blackcurrant as well as discreet hints of laurel/sens of the place and a subtle hint of grey pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a beautiful definition, gourmandize and a fine acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, fleshy blackcurrantand small notes of plum associated with fine touches of wild strawberry, small wild berries, laurel/sens of the place as well as discreet hints of sweet spices and nutmeg. Good length.
