Château Croizet-Bages 2011 – Pauillac, Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, elegant, gourmand, racy and offers deepness as well as a very fine intensity. It reveals notes of blackberry, strawberry and small notes of cassis associated with fine hints of small ripe fruits as well as discreet hints of underwood, grey pepper and iris. The mouth is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness as well as an acidulous frame. On the mouth this wine expresses notes of blackberry, raspberry and small notes of cassis associated with very fine hints of small red berries, liquorice, tobacco leaf as well as a subtle hint of cardamom. Good length. A very discreet hint of caramelization and mushroom on the persistence. Tannins are very finely marked.
