Carmen is the oldest vineyard in Chile, founded in 1Score : 850, and this vineyard in Alto Maipo is where the long-lost Carménère grape was rediscovered. The grapes destined for the Gold label come from a specific lot in a vineyard planted in 1957. This is a full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon with black currant and black cherry aromas, nicely integrated wood notes, good acidity and rich, youthful tannins. It’s saturated in fruitiness and shows just the slightest touch of green notes.
