The nose is elegant, fruity and offers concentration as well as power. It reveals notes of fresh ripe cassis, violet and small notes of lily/peony associated with touches of blackberry, raspberry and small ripe/fresh red berries associated with hints of gray pepper as well as very fine hints of toasted. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, finely tight and offers a good definition, a mineral frame, freshness, juiciness, tension as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/ripe cherry associated with small touches of juicy/ripe raspberry, fine hints of chocolate, liquorice as well as a very discreet hint of toasted (in the background), tonka bean and an imperceptible hint of vanilla. Tannins are well-built. Good length. A very discreet firmness on the finish.
