The nose is fruity, elegant, well-built and offers concentration as well as a fine richness. It reveals notes of black cherry / sour cherry, boysenberry and small notes of fleshy/crushed red berries associated with fine hints of scrubland, cypresses as well as very discreet hints of liquorice and spices / clove. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, fleshiness, juiciness, gourmandise as well as an acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry / sour cherry, blackberry and small notes of fleshy blueberry associated with discreet hints of dry local forest soil (terroir / sense of place), garrigue, chocolate, toasted (in the background) and an imperceptible hint of clove (in the background). Tannins are elegant and structuring. There is a very discreet hint of salinity on the finish. There are very discreet hints of coffee and almond on the persistence.
