Mafalda 2015 – Douro

The nose is fruity, well-built, well-structured and offers elegance and a small gourmandise side. It reveals notes of crunchy cherry and wild berries associated with small touches of raspberry, crunchy strawberry as well as slight hints of chocolate and flowers. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers precision, a good definition, a fine acidulous frame (in the background), delicacy, suavity, a beautiful fat, a good minerality as well as a beautiful grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, blackberry and small notes of crunchy wild strawberry, ripe / crunchy red berries associated with small / fine touches of flowers / grove, sweet spices as well as a very discreet hint of dark chocolate and an imperceptible touch of gray pepper (in the background). Tannins are fine and well-built.
