The nose is concentrated. It reveals notes of cassis, blackberry and small black berries associated with touches of liquorice as well as a hint of Sichuan pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a mineral frame, a fine straightness, a fine tension, fat as well as a slightly tight material and slightly fleshy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, cassis and more slightly strawberry associated with touches of fleshy/juciy raspberry as well as small touches of liquorice, sweet spices and a very discreet hint of mild tobacco. Tannins are slightly firm. Good length and good persistence. Fine power on the finish/persistence.
