Conn Creek – Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, Estate Vineyard – AVA SERIES – Rutherford, Napa Valley

The nose is fruity, racy and offers a small concentration. It reveals notes of cassis, blackberry and small notes of wild berries associated with small touches of liquorice, spices as well as a hint of pepper and very slight hints of vanilla. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a slight acidulous frame, suavity, a slight straightness, a very slight freshness, concentration, a slight over-ripeness as well as a slight minerality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, crushed cassis and small notes of blackberry associated with small touches of purple plum, licorice, tonka bean, leather and cardamom. Tannins are well-built. Good length.
