The nose is powerful and fruity. It reveals notes of blueberry, cassis and fresh small red fruits associated with touches of liquorice as well as discreet hints of sweet spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, a bit tight and offers a beautiful minerality, acidity (acid frame), concentration, fat as well as as slight unctuosity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of black cherry, cassis and slight notes of blueberry associated with discreet touches of toasted oak, vanilla, subtle touches of cinnamon, cardamom as well as subtle hints of hazelnut, a discreet hint of caramelization and discreet touches of dark chocolate / tonka bean on the finish. Tannins are well-built, fine and a bit firm. Beautiful chews on the finish. Good persistence. There is an imperceptible touch of blond / sweet tobacco on the aftertaste.
