The nose is fine, fruity, well-balanced and offers power as well as a bit more mature fruit than other Staglin wines. It reveals notes of ripe / fresh fleshy cassis and slight touches of raspberry, blueberry associated with small notes of almost salty minerality as well as discreet hints of ripe small red berries and fine / discreet touches of spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers fleshiness, gourmandise as well as a slight juiciness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, plum and slight notes of blueberry associated with hints of cassis, discreet hints of toasted oak as well as subtle / discreet hints of caramelized oak, sweet spices and a very discreet hint of chocolate. Tannins are fine and discreetly dry. Good length.
