Podere Cianfanelli – Cianfanello 2014 – Chianti Classico

The nose is fruity and structured. It reveals notes of cassis and red berries associated with slight touches of olive tree, crushed blackberry, toasted touches as well as a very discreet hint of tobacco and Sichuan pepper / spices. The palate is fruity, juicy, fresh, well-balanced and offers minerality, a nice suavity, a small gourmand side, a small freshness as well as a small tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, juicy blueberry and small notes of fleshy / juicy raspberry, juicy redcurrants associated with a very discreet hint of liquorice, tobacco, cherry and racy minerality. Tannins are fine, straight and a bit firm. Good length. There is a very discreet hint of cocoa on the persistence.
