Château de Vertheuil 2014 – Sainte Croix du Mont 

The nose is aromatic, well-balanced, finely gourmand and offers a fine richness. It reveals notes of honey, crushed pear, candied lemon and small notes of toasted brioche combined with touches of yellow plum in syrup, pineapple in syrup as well as a very discreet hint of flowers, spices and almond. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers minerality, a good definition, roundness, suavity, a fine creaminess as well as an acid frame. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of crystallized lemon, crystallized apple and pineapple in syrup combined with a touch of quince, crystallized kumquat, toasted brioche, small touches of vanilla as well as an imperceptible hint of litchi, white flowers and almond. Good length.
