Clos de L’Oratoire 2015 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé

(90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc) The nose is fruity, fresh, gourmand, structured, elegant, racy and offers finesse. It reveals notes of cassis associated with fine notes of blackberry, violet candy and a fine touch of minerality, blueberry and discreet spicy notes. The palate is fruity, racy, well-balanced, gourmand and offers density, a certain depthness, freshness, a small tension, an acid frame as well as a beautiful silky matter. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cassis, crushed blackberry and hint of Quetsche plum associated with a fine touch of raspberry and a hint of toasted oak, sweet spices as well as very slight notes of licorice and mocha. Tannins are well built and slightly grainy. Good length.
