Weingut Schmid, Riesling – Ried Langenloiser Loiser Berg – Kamptal – 2021

The wine has a pale lemon-yellow color with green reflections. On the nose, it offers freshness and tangy notes of citrus fruits and green fruits. It expresses the aromas of fresh lime, yellow lemon, pomelo, green apple, green apple skin, green pear, as well as floral touches (apple blossom, acacia), a fine sweetness of jammy citrus fruits (candied lime), a touch of cut grass, slight minty and peppery notes, as well as a hint of gooseberries. On the palate, the wine is lively, chiseled and tangy. It expresses notes of ripe citrus (ripe lime, lime, pomelo), crushed green apple, fresh quince, white peach, as well as white flowers (apple blossom, acacia), a touch of fresh mint and lemongrass. The finish expresses a slight bitterness of grapefruit and lime zest, as well as a peppery touch in the background.
