Volcelest 2019 – Vin de France

The nose is fruity, elegant and offers a certain intensity, a fine grain as well as a certain small power. It reveals notes of quince, juicy/fresh Mirabelle, small notes of bright apple associated with small touches of lemon, lemon flowers as well as hints of lemon verbena, crystallized kumquat, discreet hints of spices, an imperceptible hint of bee wax and pink pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a mineral frame, freshness, a beautiful salinity (in the background), a beautiful guideline as well as elegance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/acidulous lemon, bright apple, small notes of bright Mirabelle associated with small touches of crystallized kumquat, mandarine, salinity as well as a subtle hint of lemon verbena, cedar, a very discreet hint of tilleul and an imperceptible hint of bee wax. Good length.
