Viticcio 55, 2020 – Chianti Classico

(organic) The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is gourmand, fruity and finely spicy. It expresses the savory notes of sweet spices (clove, nutmeg, white pepper, licorice), ripe fruits (morello cherry, fresh wood, crushed raspberry, redcurrant jelly, red plum, red cherry), associated with freshness wild mint, menthol, rosemary and fresh basil. We also find a fine touch of balsamic, rose and violet. The palate is round, juicy and gourmand. It expresses the flavors of ripe morello cherry, strawberry, raspberry coulis, wild black plum, red plum, red cherry and crushed blackcurrant, combined with notes of wild mint, rosemary, fresh basil, a fine spiciness (clove, white pepper, nutmeg, licorice) and floral hint (rose, violet), as well as a gourmet touch of cocoa and cherry in chocolate. The tannins are firm, but not drying, enveloped in juicy fruitiness and salivating acidity. The finish is persistent, warm and fresh, thanks to good bitterness and salivating acidity.
