The wine has a medium-intensity ruby color with light garnet reflections. The nose is elegant, subtle and complex. It expresses aromas of juicy red fruits (red cherry, raspberry, fresh strawberry, a hint of strawberry jam), combined with light tertiary notes of tobacco, wet leaves, sweet blond tobacco, as well as sweet spices (licorice, cardamom) with a dominance of vanilla, toasted hazelnut, sweet coffee, dark chocolate, as well as a hint of peppermint and fresh flowers (rose, peony, violet). The palate is precise, tight and structured, with solid but enveloping and polished tannins. The attack seems closed, but in the middle of the mouth the wine offers a juicy and tangy fruitiness – we find in particular the flavors of red cherry, tangy raspberry, cranberries and fresh strawberry, associated with tertiary touches (tobacco, wet leaves), spicy (liquorice, cardamom), toasted (toasted hazelnut, coffee) and floral (dried rose and fresh rose). We also find a citrus finish, tangy and slightly bitter (bergamot). The finish is lively, tangy and persistent, with a sharp acidity that balances tannins.
