The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is very fruity and gourmand, with a delicate jammy hint. It expresses notes of wild strawberry, red cherry jam, morello cherry, crushed blackcurrant (with a touch of crème de cassis) and redcurrant jelly. The toasted and spicy aromas are delicate: there is a touch of white pepper, liquorice, fresh vanilla, as well as the good bitterness of coffee and cocoa, a hint of toasted hazelnut and roasted aromatic herbs. A very subtle hint of lilac and iris in the background, accompanied by a hint of peppermint. The palate is smooth, juicy, fruity and gourmand. It expresses the flavors of fresh morello cherry, ripe red cherry, crushed raspberry, blackcurrant, blueberry and redcurrant jelly, as well as hints of liquorice, fresh vanilla in the background, white pepper, bouquet garni and peppermint. The finish is juicy, sapid, and develops on toasted, chocolatey and floral (lilac) notes. The tannins are supple, melted, but present. Beautiful acidity, freshness, gourmandise and suppleness.
