Vine Hill Ranch Vineyard Annulus 2021 – Napa Valley

(Cabernet Sauvignon) The nose is fresh, precise, complex and rich and offers a fresh herbal (sweet wild mint, rosemary in syrup, sweet tobacco, cassis leaf) and floral (crystallized violet, rose water) frame. The fruits on the nose are ripe and juicy (ripe morello cherry, crushed wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, blueberry, tangy red fruit jam), combined with a velvety and delicate, but present woody and spicy side (toasted wood, toasted hazelnut, coffee, dark chocolate). On the palate, we find juicy fruits (ripe morello cherry, wild strawberry, black plums, crushed raspberry, blueberry, tangy red fruit jam), menthol, toasted wood, toasted hazelnut, coffee, dark chocolate, roasted aromatic herbs, dried mint, fresh lilac, lily, fresh tea leaf. A very fine texture of tannins, enveloping and juicy. Long finish and offers smoky and toasted notes on the persistence. A smooth and harmonious wine.
