The nose reveals a certain power as well as finesse. The wine needs to be decanted. There are notes of blackberry, violet and slightly clove combined with hints of spice, tobacco and a little local biotop/dry earth and a subtle hint of tobacco. The palate is mineral, fruity and offers harmony, some concentration, stretch and freshness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fairly ripe blackcurrant, dried blackberry small notes of red berry fruit combined with hints of tonka bean, dry earth and discreet hints of black olive, olive tree and an imperceptible hint of pepper (in the background). Good length. A subtle, almost iodine- and balsamic-like hint on the finish. Good length.
