The nose is nicely focused, with some restraint (without neglecting elegance). There are notes of boysenberry, bright/ripe wild raspberry small notes of fleshy/fresh plum combined with hints of spice, fine peppercorns and discreet hints of star anise, black olive and a subtle tea. The palate is fruity, taut, meticulous and very discreetly tight, revealing juiciness, suavity, minerality, freshness, some roundness, a fine restraint and a lovely pulpy fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fairly ripe wild blackberry, Bigarreau crisis small notes of juicy/fresh plum combined with hints of fairly ripe red berries as well as fine zan, blueberry, a fine hint of crushed red berries, subtle hints of black olive as well as a very discreet hint of local grove and sweet blond chocolate/tobacco. Tannins are well managed. A fine straightness on the finish. A fine chewiness.
