Vinchio Vaglio Laudana 2020 – Nizza

Vinchio Vaglio Laudana 2020 – Nizza

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The first nose expresses a fine tertiary hint (dry tobacco, wet leaves in the background) as well as a hint of balsamic and maceration (stewed cherry). The second nose offers aromas of fresh fruits (red cherry, morello cherry, crushed blackcurrant, raspberry, fresh redcurrants), a perfumed menthol note (crushed wild mint, menthol, rosemary, pine needles), notes of sweet spices (liquorice, which tends towards star anise, a slight hint of vanilla, pink pepper and nutmeg), roasting in the background (toasted hazelnut, dark chocolate, cocoa nibs) and fresh flowers (lilac, cornflower). The palate is tasty, fruity and offers a beautiful fruity material as well as a smooth texture. It expresses the flavors of ripe and juicy fruits (morello cherry, crushed red cherry, crushed raspberry, blackcurrant, wild blackberry, wild black plum), combined with hints of savoury sweet spices (licorice, a touch of vanilla, clove, nutmeg), menthol notes reminiscent of aromas of dried eucalyptus, wild mint, pine needles, flowers (lilac, cornflower) and delicate roasted notes (tangy cocoa nibs, toasted hazelnut, heated wood in the background). The finish is persistent, expressive and savory, with a good bitterness of coffee and cocoa. Beautiful, lively and fresh acidity. The tannins are well constructed, savory and fine. Delicious, complex and with a beautiful structure.
