The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is refined, precise and complex. It offers pronounced spicy notes (ground cumin, grated nutmeg, licorice, cloves), a subtle touch of sweet coffee, fresh flowers (violet, lilac, iris), as well as a juicy fruitiness. We find in particular notes of strawberry, crushed raspberry wood, red cherry, red currant, morello cherry and blueberry, with a touch of mint in the background. On the palate, the wine is fleshy, ample, with dense fruity substance. It expresses notes of roasted red cherry, juicy morello cherry, wild blackberry, crushed strawberry, raspberry and a hint of blackcurrant, combined with notes of sweet spices (cumin, clove, a touch of licorice and vanilla), aromatic herbs (roasted bouquet garni, dried mint) and a touch of smoke. The tannins are quite powerful, grippy and give the wine a good structure. The finish is long, gourmand and fruity, with notes of sweet spices and salivating acidity.
