The nose is fruity and offers power as well as concentration. It reveals notes of cassis, wild berries, redcurrants and small notes of fleshy boysenberry combined with small touches of colas, cherry pit, olive tree / laurel berries as well as hints of Zan, spices, black olive, a very discreet hint of tobacco, coffee (in the background) and an imperceptible hint of undergrowth (in the background). The palate is fruity, fresh, well-balanced and offers a beautiful definition, a beautiful mineral frame, a slight suavity as well as a crunchy / ripe fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cassis, black cherry and small notes of crushed blackberry associated with touches of black tea, cardamom, black olive, toasted oak as well as an imperceptible touch of tonka bean. Tannins are fine and well-built. Good length and good persistence. There are a hint of caramelization, toasted almond and a hint of crushed / juicy fruits on the persistence. Beautiful persistence and gourmandise.
