The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is reserved (but opens up after aeration) and offers tension, a touch of clay minerality, as well as tangy fruits (crushed raspberry, red cherry, strawberry), associated with hints of roasted strawberry in the background, morello cherry and red plum. There is also a saline and floral finish (fresh rose, violet) and a very subtle touch of white pepper in the background. The palate is frank, straight, chiseled, tangy and mineral. The attack is precise and fresh, on notes of tangy fruits (raspberry, red cherry, tangy strawberry), with a good bitterness and a fine herbaceous touch of blackcurrant leaf. In the mid-palate, we find the slightly dry minerality, a hint of pepper, smoke and violet. The finish is gourmet, warm, on notes of roasted blueberry and blackcurrant jam. Good length and refreshing acidity. The tannins are firm, but enveloped by the juiciness of the fruit and not drying.
