The nose is fruity, powerful, racy, with fine grain, purity and sincerity. There are notes of fleshy violet plum, crushed blackberry and, more slightly, star anise combined with delicate touches of crushed wild strawberry as well as hints of violet, black olive and fine local grove, a discreet hint of mocha, pepper and salinity. The palate is fruity, with juiciness, minerality, acidity and good definition. On the palate this wine expresses notes of plummy/juicy plum, bright blueberry and more slightly tart/crushed blackcurrant combined with hints of blueberry, star anise as well as fine hints of wild strawberry and discreet hints of lily, pepper and a subtle hint of roast in the background. The tannins are precise and racy. Good length.
