The nose is fruity and offers some power/intensity as well as spiciness. There are notes of fresh/black cherry, blackcurrant and slightly raspberry with hints of pulpy berries, fine violet, liquorice and fine spice and a very discreet touch of fresh pepper. The palate is fresh and offers minerality, a fresh/acidic structure, accuracy, a nice freshness, a certain purity of fruit, tension, smoothness as well as a little silky and flattering character. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cherry, pulpy/juicy blackberry and, more slightly, blue berries, combined with touches of crunchy red berries, a hint of fresh flowers, a discreet hint of star anise, graphite and a very discreet hint of fresh almond and toastiness. A very discreet hint of varietal bitterness (in the background) that pulls/leads the tasting.
