Vieux Château Palon 2019

The nose is aromatic, toasty and offers a certain power. It reveals notes of black blackberry, crushed raspberry and more slightly small black berries associated with touches of incense, bergamot as well as fine hints of pepper and a discreet floral hint. The palate is fruity, balanced, finely tight and offers minerality, elegance, good definition, a little freshness as well as a fine tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, juicy / luscious black plum and more slightly fresh cassis associated with a touch of violet, frankincense, cocoa, discreet hints of toast, roasted herbs as well as a hint of liquorice and a discreet hint almost meat juice. Tannins are structuring, racy and offer a certain power.
