Vieux Château Certan 2024 – Pomerol

The nose is beautifully fruity, precise, it offers a certain darkness and aromatic depth, pretty spices and a fine, elegant darkness. It reveals notes of violet, blueberry and small notes of cornflower, associated with touches of fleshy cherry, wild raspberry, a hint of ripe/fresh red plum, as well as discreet hints of sweet pepper and a subtle hint of toastiness. The palate is well-built, fruity, mineral, silky, pulpy, it offers a certain brilliance, gourmandise, precision and fine straightness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, wild raspberry and small notes of small ripe wild red berries, combined with touches of roasting, camphor, as well as hints of pulpy blue plum, fine hints of infusion/bergamot, toastiness and a hint of chocolate. A well-built wine, fruity, fresh, elegant, pulpy, brilliant, controlled, racy and gourmand. Good length. A hint of cocoa nibs. Harmonious, a fresh, silky, pulpy side, with an elegant, toasty, chocolatey persistence.
