Vieira de Sousa – 2003 Colheita Porto

The nose is elegant, aromatic and offers power, a beautiful definition as well as a small freshness. It reveals notes of kirsch cherry, candied cassis and small notes of hazelnut associated with fine touches of liquorice, tobacco, dry fig as well as touches of small red berries, nutmeg and chocolate. The palate is elegant, fruity and offers gourmandize, richness, a fine acidulous frame as well as fleshiness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of very ripe red cherry, dry strawberry and small notes of dry berries associated with touches of fig, caramelization, tobacco and nutmeg. Good length and persistence. A beautiful wine!
