The wine has a pale ruby color with slight garnet reflections. The nose is ample, enveloping, warm and slightly roasted. It expresses notes of ripe fruit (juicy blackberry, morello cherry, roasted red cherry, crushed raspberry, red currant jelly), combined with a fragrant and savory spiciness (grated nutmeg, licorice, white pepper, roasted coriander seeds, crushed cardamom), as well as delicate tertiary notes (dried tobacco, dried rose, undergrowth), a smoky touch of burnt pine needles, as well as wild mint, dried bergamot tea and toast (cocoa, toasted hazelnut). There is also a touch of morello cherry in chocolate, lily and violet in the background. On the palate, the wine appears closed, but offers sapidity and concentration. The attack expresses a fruity and tangy substance (red cherry, dried cranberries, blackcurrant, blueberry, raspberry, redcurrant), combined with a good bitterness of bergamot, coffee and black tea. Then, on the palate, we find notes of roasting (cocoa, toasted almond), spices (cardamom, liquorice, white pepper, crushed coriander seeds). The tertiary side is integrated and quite delicate (dry tobacco, undergrowth, wet pine needles). We also find notes of dried rose, lily, dried wild mint and dried blackcurrant leaf in the background. The tannins are firm, solid and slightly grippy, without being dry. Beautiful balancing acidity and a lingering finish on tangy fruits. The wine should still open up.
