Valiano – 6.38 – 2013 – Chianti Classico Gran Selezione

The nose is precise, structured and offers a small concentration as well as finesse. The wine needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of boysenberry, wild berries and small notes of cherry, plum associated with hints of grove, flowers and subtle hints of blueberry, toasted oak and a very discreet hint of chocolate. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, elegant and offers a beautiful definition / precision, a beautiful suavity, a very fine straightness, a nice finesse as well as a mineral frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, juicy raspberry, juicy red berries and a touch of plum associated with a touch of blueberry, black olive, liquorice as well as a discreet hint of clove and caramelized oak. Tannins are fine, well-built and slightly chewy.
