The nose is dense, deep, complex and harmonious. It expresses floral notes of iris and lilac, blood orange peel, roasted Mediterranean herbs, toasted hazelnut, chocolate, liquorice, ripe and generous fruits (black plum, blackberry, morello cherry, wild strawberry, red cherry jam, raspberry coulis), mint chocolate, liquorice and toasted vanilla. The palate is dense, ripe, finely sweet (but without residual sugar), with a silky, rich, enveloping and lacy texture of tannins. We find a beautiful refined power and richness of flavors – notes of fresh ripe and jammy fruits (crushed morello cherry, chocolate morello cherry, red cherry jam, raspberry coulis, blackberry, black plum), as well as mint chocolate, roasted aromatic herbs, fresh sage, a hint of smoke and toasted hazelnut, dark chocolate and toasted vanilla. A wine of great finesse, power and with a beautiful harmony.
