The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers concentration, gourmandise and notes of ripe, sun-drenched fruits. It expresses aromas of crushed blackberry, ripe blackcurrant (even blackcurrant jam), morello cherry, wild strawberry and black plum, combined with notes of white pepper, nutmeg, liquorice in the background, as well as roasted bouquet garni, roasted red plum and a fine touch of toast and roasted meat in the background. There is also a delicate note of prunes after aeration. The palate offers gourmandise and sweetness of fresh ripe fruits, balanced by a good bitterness of cocoa and menthol notes. It expresses notes of juicy blackcurrant, morello cherry, ripe tangy red cherry, wild blackberry, raspberry, combined with notes of nutmeg, white pepper, liquorice, crushed mint, as well as toast and bitter cocoa in the background. The tannins are sapid, fine, slightly gripping. The finish is tangy, quite persistent, with a tannic and bitter touch of bird cherry.
