The wine shows a deep purple colour. The nose is dense and fruity, quite exuberant, revealing notes of cherry compote, ripe blackberries, dark chocolate, sweet baking spices and a touch of menthol. The palate offers a nice, refreshing acidity, powerful fruit concentration, pronounced oaky character, a certain finesse and grippy but well-managed tannins. The wine is packed with ripe but crunchy red and black fruits, black cherries, blueberries, a touch of bramble, nuances of cacao, sweet tobacco and cinnamon. The finish is laden with sweet berry notes and fine spices.
