Torre a Cona – Badia a Corte 2015 – Chianti Colli Fiorentini Riserva

The nose is patinated, fresh and offers a certain slight intensity and a delicate stretched side. There are notes of undergrowth, truffle and small notes of fresh pepper associated with hints of dried pistil, saffron and discreet hints of rosemary, dried zest and a touch of camphor. The mouth is fruity and offers juiciness, tension, minerality, a mineral structure, fat and roundness. There are notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, bright cherry and smaller notes of creamy cassis associated with hints of undergrowth, camphor, saffron and tea as well as slight hints of truffle and toast/chocolate. Discreetly powdery/marked tannins. Good length. This wine needs to be decanted.
