Torcilacqua 2020 – Chianti Classico

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is savoury, slightly meaty and smoky. It expresses notes of roasted meat and smoke, which disappear after aeration and are complemented by notes of fresh morello cherry, roasted red cherry, strawberry, red currants, raspberry, cranberries and blueberries, combined with a fragrant floral bouquet (violet, lily, rose), with refreshing herbaceous notes (wild mint, rosemary, fresh basil), as well as a very light touch of liquorice and nutmeg in the background. The palate is juicy, gourmand and silky, with lots of freshness and liveliness. It expresses notes of fresh strawberry, crushed raspberry, red cherry, morello cherry, blueberry and red currant, combined with a fine spiciness (liquorice, nutmeg) and flowers (violet, fresh rose, lily), as well as with notes of aromatic herbs (thyme, wild mint, bay leaf). The finish is quite persistent and expresses good bitterness, lively acidity and notes of juicy fruit. Freshness and gourmandise.
