The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers juiciness, a certain concentration, ripe fruit and gourmandise. It expresses notes of ripe morello cherry, crushed blackcurrant, wild blackberry, crushed blueberry, raspberry coulis, as well as a touch of pine sap, peppermint (or even menthol in the background), fresh rose, iris, as well as a touch of oregano and thyme. The palate offers a round attack and grippy tannins, especially in the mid-palate (their astringency and slightly raspy texture is rounded off by a lively acidity). It expresses the flavors of tangy bigarreau cherry, crushed blackcurrant, blueberry, red currant and crushed raspberry, combined with a smoky touch of oregano, notes of dried basil, white pepper, fresh rose and iris. The finish is slightly peppery and smoky (oregano), with a slight bitterness and a lively acidity of bergamot, moderately persistent. A fresh and lively wine.
