Todeschini – Distique 15 2022 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

The nose is mineral, racy, complete, elegant and well-built. It reveals notes of graphene and small notes of cocoa associated with touches of juicy blackberry, small roasted-juicy red fruits, a hint of crushed red berries as well as hints of Cubeb pepper, tobacco, a subtle almost smoky hint, salinity and vanilla. The palate is beautifully juicy, fruity and elegant, gourmand and offers a tangy frame, tension, accuracy, suppleness, delicacy, a beautiful structure (in delicacy), elegant darkness as well as silkiness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberries, bright wild cassis and small notes of red berries associated with touches of sage, rosemary, graphene as well as discreet hints of tonka beans. There is a nice wrapped and velvety side on the finish on the persistence. Tannins are elegant and mellow, even slightly chalky. A beautiful minerality and freshness. Persistence with the limestone which is fully expressed. Beautiful sense of detail !
