Todeschini Distique 12, 2019 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

On the nose is fruity, elegant, complex, full of finesse and offers a nice finesse of grain, intensity, power as well as depth. There are notes of Boysenberry, bright blackberries and more slightly graphite associated with touches of black plum, lilac, hints of bright raspberry as well as hints of sense of place (biotop local), incense, with a very discreet hint of spices and an imperceptible hint almost roasted herbs. The palate is fruity, elegant, bright, all in purity / juiciness, all in delicacy, all in precision / accuracy and offers a straight side, a very nice juiciness as well as a nice tangy frame, gourmandize of the fruit while keeping a beautiful finesse and precision. On the palate this wine expresses notes of bright blackberry, bright blueberry and more slightly ripe red currants associated with touches of crunchy strawberries, hints of cornflowers, lilac, roast, caramelization, cocoa as well as fine hints of aromatic herbs, roasted thyme, with a subtle hint of nutmeg and toasted almond. Tannins are precise, structuring and well done. Good length and persistence.
