Tertre Roteboeuf 2023 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

A nice, precise, stretched nose, which offers a nice definition, a good structure, a certain depth, aromatics. It expresses notes of morello cherry, bright blueberry and more lightly – bright blackcurrant, associated with a touch of small red fruits almost with a Mediterranean accent, as well as fine hints of liquorice stick, lily, lilac and a hint of pulpy blue plum, nutmeg and toast. The palate is nicely led, fruity, balanced and offers a juicy/acidulous frame, a nice definition, accuracy, tension, suppleness, a nice chiseled and airy side, roundness, freshness and concentration/depth all in accuracy and brilliance. It expresses notes of bright cherry, bright blackcurrant and more lightly – pulpy/bright blue plum, associated with touches of tobacco, star anise, cardamom, as well as hints of juicy roasted berries, bright raspberry, a discreet hint of chocolate, almost sage and an imperceptible hint of almost grilled thyme in the background, toasted. A nice definition and delicacy. Nice softness and sapidity on the finish/persistence. Nice shine, brilliance, juiciness, a certain freshness and hints of almost kirsch cherry in the background. Very nice softness and chew on the finish/persistence.
