The wine has a nice cherry colour with purple reflections. The first nose is intense and powerful. Black fruits such as blackberries and plums, as well as blackcurrant are present. On aeration the nose develops with hints of dark chocolate, cocoa and torrefaction. The alcohol is also pronounced. The palate is round and juicy with a supple attack and powerful, but silky and well-managed tannins. The wine is young and offers a great intensity of fruit. With the fairly high alcohol content, it needs time to soften. There are lovely black fruits and resin notes on the palate, plenty of acidity to balance the alcohol and a lingering finish with a subtle bitterness.
