The wine has a deep ruby color. The nose is closed and benefits from aeration. It then expresses a warming spiciness (toasted vanilla, nutmeg, licorice), gourmet notes of fruit jam (raspberry jam, red cherry jam), fleshy fresh fruits (morello cherry, blackberry, black plum), as well as notes of cocoa, chocolate with mint, toasted wood and a touch of slightly sweet floral aromas (fresh peony), as well as a delicate minerality. The palate offers juiciness and freshness, as well as the gourmand flavors of cherry in chocolate and dark chocolate, which we find in the mid-palate. The wine also expresses flavors of red cherry jam, juicy morello cherry, blackberry, plum cream and prunes in the background, associated with notes of sweet spices (licorice, grilled vanilla, nutmeg), roasted bouquet garni, toasted wood and dried wild flowers. The finish is persistent, finely mineral (dry stone, graphite) and chocolatey. The tannins are melted, soft and sapid. Nice acidity, which adds liveliness and balances the profile of the wine.
