The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is a little reserved at first and requires aeration. It expresses notes of blueberry, crushed blackcurrant, tangy raspberry, red cherry and strawberry, which are complemented by gourmet touches of roasted red cherry and red plum. There are also light notes of toast, smoke, liquorice, blue plum and flowers (dried rose, violet) after aeration. The palate offers a tasty and spicy attack (a hint of white pepper and cumin), with notes of juicy fruits (red cherry, morello cherry, crushed blackcurrant, raspberry, blue plum) and a touch of dried Mediterranean herbs (thyme, rosemary). Then, it expresses a slight toasted hint and a good bitterness on the persistence. The tannins are a little grainy and tight. A delicate menthol hint on the finish and a refreshing acidity. Good length.
