Tenuta Regaleali – Nozze D’Oro 2014 – Sicilia Contea di Sclafani DOC

The nose is fruity and offers a fine grain, a beautiful grain, minerality as well as a fine gourmandize. It reveals notes of quince, small yellow fruits/Mirabelle associated with fine touches of hay, bee wax, very fine hints of grass/fresh flowers, dry orange as well as an imperceptible hint of bee wax and nutmeg. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, a very fine tannic sensation, juiciness, a mineral frame as well as tension and a beautiful finesse/guideline. On the palate this wine expresses notes of lemon/ripe quince, ripe Mirabelle and small notes of hay associated with small touches of bee wax, nutmeg as well as a very discreet hint of orange/dry kumquat, spices and a very discreet hint of apricot pit (in the background). Beautiful persistence.
