Tenuta Perano (Frescobaldi) 2020 – Chianti Classico

Tenuta Perano (Frescobaldi) 2020 – Chianti Classico

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose offers juicy fruit, gourmandise and a certain concentration. It expresses the tangy notes and a textured and tannic touch of fresh blackcurrant, mountain ash, wild plum, as well as notes of morello cherry, crushed raspberry and strawberry, associated with a fragrant floral bouquet (wild rose, violet, a touch peony and iris in the background), complemented by a hint of balsamic, a fine spicy (white pepper) and herbaceous (dried oregano, fresh basil) notes. The attack on the palate is juicy, tangy and gourmand, straight and chiselled. The tannins are well structured, quite firm, but velvety and discreet at the same time. The wine expresses more flavors of red fruits on the palate: tangy bigarreau cherry, crushed raspberry, crunchy strawberry, cranberries, combined with notes of fresh blackcurrant, morello cherry and wild plum, as well as savory notes of white pepper, oregano, fresh basil, tea with bergamot and wild rose. The acidity is lively and salivating, good length with a pleasant bitterness and chiselled notes of fresh basil and wild mint. An airy, well-structured, juicy and fresh wine.
